Junior and Senior Infants have been enjoying getting to know one another. They have been developing their fine motor skills with some of these fun morning activities.
Congratulations to our senior infant student who won three gold medals for the discus, javelin and shot put in the U8’s para athletics Munster Games.
A hat trick of PBs 😊. What an achievement, well done 🏅🏅🏅👏👏👏🎉 Congratulations to our 3rd and 4th class boys who competed in the Gary Kennedy Cup in Celbridge at the weekend. The boys returned joint All Ireland winners!!! Well done to the boys, their fellow U10 football teammates and their coaches. We are very proud of you. 🎉🏅👏👏
Our fifth class girls enjoy using our new French skipping rope at break times. We would like to welcome our 13 new Junior Infants to Lisronagh NS. This is the first time we have triplets in Lisronagh NS!!!
Lisronagh NS will reopen tomorrow morning, Thursday the 31st of August. We look forward to seeing all our new and returning students. We also welcome our new principal, Mrs. Claire Keane. Wishing you the very best of luck in your new role. 🍀🎉
After 39 years teaching, 35 of which were in Lisronagh NS, we bid farewell to Mrs.McGrath. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to Lisronagh NS. Congratulations on your retirement and best wishes for your next chapter.
Our 6th class pupils and Mrs.McGrath received a well deserved guard of honour as they left Lisronagh NS on Friday. It was an opportunity for our staff and younger pupils to show our appreciation to them for all they have done and achieved. We are so proud of these pupils and we will miss them all dearly. They are a fantastic group. Best wishes to them all in their new schools. ❤️ We also want to thank Mrs.McGrath for all she has done for Lisronagh NS throughout her 35 years teaching here. We wish her a happy and healthy retirement. 🎉👏 Thanks to Séamus and Michael for giving their time to come visit us at Lisronagh NS for a very special soccer training day. Each of the classes got to attend a training session. This was one of the many activities we completed as part of Active Week 2023! Junior and Senior Infants completed a butterfly project in school recently. Mrs.O Brien ordered painted lady caterpillars from insectlore.co.uk. There was great excitement when the caterpillars arrived. They were tiny at first. However as the caterpillars ate their food they continued to grow and grow. It was not long until they made their chrysalides. Then we moved the chrysalides from their containers to our butterfly tents. After a few weeks of patiently waiting our first butterfly emerged. After a few days of waiting for all the butterflies to emerge we released all 9 out in the school garden. It was wonderful to watch first hand the different stages of the butterfly life cycle. |
