1st and 2nd class loved participating in Science Week. In the photos below you can see them launch a rocket, make spaghetti towers and experiment with paper helicopters!
Thank you to the 5th and 6th class students and their teacher Mrs.Armstrong who visited each of the classrooms to demonstrate their Science experiments during Science Week. The younger students loved learning from their peers. :)
The infants thoroughly enjoyed the new game "Head, shoulders, knees and ball" they played during GAA training this week We want to say a huge thank you to the students and your families for every Christmas Shoebox sent into school this year. The generosity found in Lisronagh NS is incredible. We collected 79 boxes in total. 👏👏👏🎉🎄
This Christmas there will be lots of excited children in countries across Africa and Eastern Europe, you should all be very proud.❤️🎁🎁 Thanks to the Student Council for helping to organise the collection. 👏 The Infants had a busy day on Friday for their Halloween Party. They enjoyed taking part in 'spider races' in the classroom and had fun outside playing 'Ghostbusters tag' and 'Halloween dodgeball'. They also enjoyed eating their yummy treats while watching a Halloween cartoon! Well done to the boys and girls on their costumes they all looked 'spooktacular'! Fifth and sixth class put huge effort into their Halloween projects. Points went for their original drawing of the design, an essay explaining where they got their idea, how well they could move in their costume and overall presentation on the day! This year the classes got to walk the 'catwalk' in the yard, much to the delight of the younger students in the school! Well done to all the boys and girls!! You made judging the costumes extremely difficult! 1st, 2nd , 3rd and 4th classes worked together on Maths Week activities this year. They had lots of fun together! |
